Having a dedicated stand or cabinet for your fish tank is an increasingly popular option. Purpose-built stands and spacious cupboards mean that your tank is properly supported. Plus you have the added bonus of a little additional space to store all the bits and bobs necessary to keep your fish happy.
Serious fish fans aren't satisfied with simply propping a fish tank on the nearest available surface; for safety and style, a special stand is the only way to go. And they have the added benefit of looking great, too!
Storage
Depending on your storage needs, you might choose a cabinet over a stand. Purpose-built cabinets feature cupboards with fitted shelving so that you can stash all of your food, cleaning items and other fishy paraphernalia. There are some fabulously ornate models available so if you've got the money, you can get a real feature piece for your home. It really depends on your budget and how much space you have available for the new unit - the larger units can command quite a lot of floor space.
